A particularly accomplished soldier of the Swim. Initially employed as one of many Cecaelian guards positioned to ward off deep-sea predators, her squadron's been re-assigned to target the ships endlessly battling above- the royal water mages disrupting the natural flow of the ocean as well as fallen cannonballs and sunken ships have been identified as a much larger threat to the underwater cities of The Mer.
On quiet nights she'd sometimes slip into Saolkam's canals to explore the city at her own leisure and observe happenings from afar, though tightened security in recent years has made this a much more difficult task to achieve.
- When Cecaelia is shuffled away and is re-Hired at any point, her Health is restored to full as if it was the first time she was Hired.
- Cecaelia may only activate her ability instead of declaring an attack, and cannot do it in response to being attacked.
Marin has stayed quite similar to her original design throughout, which has always been something in favour of pushing the idea that she is apathetic and disinterested, that she won't stay around longer than necessary, and would happily leave her task unfinished. It resulted in an interesting hero who is very different depending on what time in the game you get her: she's a hit and run skull-denier early in the game, while being a brutally effective survivor at the end that denies you bonuses.
